Our Approach
Our Approach to Treatment
At LC Psychiatry, we focus on comprehensive treatment, starting with thorough assessments to understand each patient's needs. We utilize bloodwork and testing to identify biological factors, along with tailored medication management and deprescribing to minimize unnecessary prescriptions. This holistic approach aims to optimize our patients' mental well-being.
Assessment
The initial psychiatric evaluation is a comprehensive 60- to 90-minute appointment designed to understand the full picture of a client’s mental health. During this time, we explore your symptoms, medical and mental health history, lifestyle factors, and any emotional or behavioral concerns to help establish an accurate diagnosis and create a personalized treatment plan.
Bloodwork
Comprehensive lab testing can uncover physical health issues that may contribute to or mimic psychiatric symptoms.

Medication Management
Lauren Gold and Chantel Rusz take a personalized, evidence-based approach to psychiatric medication management, combining clinical expertise with a compassionate, collaborative style. They believe in empowering clients by thoroughly explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and medication plans in a way that’s easy to understand and aligned with each person’s goals.

Deprescribing
For some individuals, reducing or discontinuing psychiatric medications—also known as deprescribing—can be a valuable step toward greater wellbeing.
We approach deprescribing with the same care and intentionality as prescribing.
